Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
My sketchbook is always the starting point for my work finding inspiration in the landscape wherever that may be. From the flat coastal beaches to the rugged western islands of Scotland.
The Process
Working with rough sketches and written notes in the field, and often merging them together with half remembered landscapes and thoughts, these build into final works in the studio.
My inspiration is experience of landscape, an individual response to time and space.
